
A delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegović, paid an official visit to Turkey today, the BiH Presidency announced. Izetbegović also met with Turkish President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
On this occasion, BiH companies “Energoinvest“ and “Željeznice FBiH“ signed cooperation memorandums with the host, and economic cooperation was discussed.
Izetbegović told TV1 after the meeting that trade exchange was discussed, especially in the field of food production. He announced that investments and aid from this friendly country to BiH will continue.
Otherwise, the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegović, was welcomed in Ankara with the highest state honors at the presidential palace by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül.
After the meeting of the two presidents, a press conference was held, at which Chairman Izetbegović expressed the importance of good relations between the two countries. He pointed out that Turkey has managed to achieve economic stability and said that Turkey's assistance in the development of BiH's economy is significant.
Izetbegović expressed hope that trade exchange will increase and that he expects more investments from Turkey, especially in the fields of agriculture and industry.
The Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegović, also met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Çiçek, and visited Atatürk's mausoleum where he laid a wreath, the BiH Presidency announced, NAP reports.
