Izetbegović in Kozarac: Genocide was not only committed in Srebrenica, it began with ethnic cleansing in 1992 throughout BiH

(Patria) - A collective funeral prayer for seven victims from the Prijedor area was held today at the Kamičani Memorial Center, after which the victims were buried in surrounding cemeteries at the families' request.

The President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegović, attended the commemoration and funeral prayer today with a delegation from this party.

"Genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina was not only committed in Srebrenica, it began with mass ethnic cleansing and killings throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, in June 1992. From those people buried in Tomašica, to those who suffered such a fate in Srebrenica, it lasted for four years. Those who planned, aided, and committed it have not been properly punished. We must work to build a state, to build a judicial system, prosecution bodies, that will punish crimes, thereby preventing the denial of genocide, preventing the celebration of criminals, and preventing such things from ever happening again to anyone in BiH," stated Izetbegović.

Today, the following were buried: Ismeta Sušić, Edin Čelić, Semir Čelić, Mehemed Čikotić, Mirsad Zečić, Kasim Bajraktarević, and Omer Alagić.
