Interviews with candidates for the FTV Management Board postponed, new date unknown

(Patria) - Interviews with candidates for the Management Board of RTV Federacije BiH were postponed on September 3rd, and a new date for the talks is not yet known. The Joint Working Group of the Election and Appointment Committee of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH is responsible for the interviews.

A storm in the public was caused by the candidate for the FTV Management Board, Zoran Krešić, with his views advocating for the return of the para-state entity Herceg-Bosna and the dismantling of the Federation of BiH.

The opposition in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation has been pointing out for months that the tender for the FTV Management Board, in which the Information Committee was bypassed, was announced illegally, contrary to the Rules of Procedure...

"The Information Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH has done its job and sent a clear message to the public and the Parliament, and especially to the Election and Appointment Committee, on which the entire process now rests and which, for reasons known to them, is prolonging, delaying, and acting non-transparently, as far as I can see. People are asking, and the candidates who applied are asking what is happening. It has not been clarified why the interviews are being postponed. Now the ball is in the court of the Committee of both Houses of the Parliament of the FBiH, as they are the ones conducting the tender procedure and who should provide clarification, come before us and the public with concrete names.

I can assume that the story concerning the candidate who is deeply compromised, whose name has been mentioned in public, has thrown a spanner in the works, that this is the stumbling block, but I cannot say anything with certainty. That committee is not making any statements, not explaining why they postponed the interviews once and then again, and they are not announcing new interviews with the candidates," Sanel Kajan (DF), President of the Information Committee of the House of Representatives of the FBiH, told Faktor.

We also spoke with Federal MP Eldar Čomor (SDA), a member of the Election and Appointment Committee of the House of Representatives.

"I don't know what's happening because I am not a member of that working body that deals with interviews and scoring. We will receive their proposals at the Election and Appointment Committee. I know how it will end. It will end the way the HDZ wants," Čomor said.

The committee that announced the tender for the FTV Management Board and is conducting interviews with candidates includes Aner Žuljević (SDP), Goran Opsenica (HDZ), Rasim Smajlović (NIP) from the House of Representatives of the PFBiH, while from the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH, Milan Ševo (HDZ), who is also the president, and Kristina Petrović (SDP) are members.

The candidates who applied for the FTV Management Board tender are Lejla Tikveša, Mirsad Ćatić, Vahid Duraković, Danijela Gogić, Adnan Huskić, Irina Kolak Mandić, Edin Kotlo, Zoran Krešić, Željka Marković Sekulić, Medina Mujić, and Izudin Šehović.
