Fikret Abdić will try to bring businessmen from Serbia to Agrokomerc

A delegation from the Serbian municipality of Inđija is interested in cooperation with the municipality of Velika Kladuša. The mayor of Inđija, Vladimir Gak, visited Velika Kladuša for two days with his associates last weekend. Gak was received by the newly elected mayor of Velika Kladuša, Firket Abdić. Both sides announced major projects between the two municipalities.

One of the participants in the meeting between the authorities of Inđija and Velika Kladuša confirmed for Patria that Agrokomerc was also discussed during the meeting. The Serbs are interested in taking over some of Agrokomerc's facilities in Velika Kladuša. Abdić will do everything to enable them to do so.

This is Gak's second visit to Abdić and Velika Kladuša in the last two months. Before his official visit to the Municipality, Gak visited Fikret Abdić's Labourist Party.

Abdić was elected mayor of Velika Kladuša in the local elections on October 2nd this year. It is not surprising that in the first days of his mandate, he is trying to establish cooperation with Serbian municipalities. During the Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995, he founded the autonomous province of Western Bosnia, which encompassed the northern part of Bosanska Krajina. He cooperated directly with the highest civilian and military leadership of the Bosnian Serbs and the authorities from Belgrade, who would later end up before the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

Abdić himself was convicted of crimes. The Cantonal Court in Karlovac sentenced Abdić to 20 years in prison for crimes against Bosniaks. In 2005, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia changed the sentence to 15 years in prison, writes Patria.
