Last night at 5:25 PM, the V PU was informed that an unknown explosive device was activated in Bosanski put street, Ilijaš municipality, in front of the house used by B.M. from Ilijaš, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton announced, reports the Patria news agency.
B.M., born in 1977, B.A., born in 1981, and a child born in 2006 sustained serious bodily injuries.
The injured received medical assistance at the Intensive Care Unit of the Sarajevo University Clinical Center, where they were admitted for further treatment.
An investigation was carried out by police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, and the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo was informed about the accident.
Based on the investigation and collected information, it was found that around 5:20 PM, B.M. brought home unexploded ordnance (UXO) that he found in the forest while picking mushrooms, where it was activated due to unprofessional handling.
