Explosion in Budapest: Authorities investigate the cause

Following a gas explosion that occurred last night at 10:30 PM in the center of Budapest, in which two police officers were injured, an investigation will reveal how this accident happened, writes Patria.

The causes of the explosion are currently being speculated about. Some cite gas leakage as the cause, which led to ignition and detonation, while others speak of a bomb. Hungarian media report that the explosion occurred on the ground floor of a building housing business premises.

They also report statements from some witnesses who speak of several suspects fleeing the scene of the explosion, but there are no official confirmations for such claims. The famous music academy "Liszt" is located in the neighboring building and has been evacuated.
