Dodik in Belgrade: For us, Republika Srpska is a state, we will not join NATO

BELGRADE, (Patria) - Milorad Dodik was announced as the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH before addressing the gathering he came to at the invitation of the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

"Serbia is the guarantor of our stability. You can be against the government, but you cannot be against the state. Serbia has open questions regarding Kosovo, and when he speaks about Kosovo at the meeting these days, he will be congratulated on Serbia's unity. RS did not allow BiH to recognize Kosovo, we follow Serbia's policy and we say clearly and loudly: We will not join NATO because you bombed us twice, because we do not want the border to be on the Drina. We have made our decision and we follow Serbia," said Dodik.

He added that Serbia's future also implies peace among us and the Balkan peoples.

"We must learn patience, it is time for patience and necessary answers. And we in RS can very clearly state our position and fight for it. For us, RS is a state where Serbs live, and Serbia is the state we look to.

"We want a peaceful and stable Serbia and a Serbia that supports RS in what its possibilities are," said Dodik, concluding his address to the gathered people at the rally with the words: Long live RS, long live Serbia.
