Dealer attack FUP officials, after chase drove off the road and were arrested

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Police officers of the Federal Police Administration, while carrying out measures and activities within their jurisdiction on January 10 this year, carried out the operational action "Trag" in the Canton of Sarajevo, and arrested two persons identified as F.N. (1978) and N.N. (1983) from Sarajevo, who are suspected of committing several criminal offenses: "Assault on an official in the performance of security duties" under Article 359 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, "Prevention of an official in the performance of an official act" under Article 358 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, "Damage to another's property" under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, "Endangerment of traffic" under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all in connection with the criminal offense "Unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs" under Article 238, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Police officers, while carrying out measures and activities within their jurisdiction, attempted to control a motor vehicle in which the suspects were, on suspicion of engaging in illegal drug trafficking. The aforementioned persons ignored the clear warnings of the police officers and continued to accelerate towards the police officers, during which they slightly injured one police officer and caused damage to an official motor vehicle. While fleeing, the suspects threw a bag containing a substance suspected to be the narcotic drug amphetamine, mobile phones, and other items that could be linked to the commission of this criminal offense into the Bosna River.

After a police chase and driving off the road due to inappropriate and fast driving in the municipality of Ilijaš, the suspects were arrested. Under the supervision of the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton and by order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, a search of the vehicle they used and the surrounding area was carried out, and items related to the criminal offenses in question were found.

The arrested persons admitted during the criminal investigation at the premises of the Federal Police Administration that they had transported about 2 kg of narcotic drugs that day and that they had discarded it.

These are repeat offenders for criminal offenses, and after the criminal investigation, they were handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton.
