(Patria) - The Democratic Front (DF) continued its spring forum series tonight in Mostar under the title "Integrity of the Civic State Policy", and officials and the DF candidate for member of the BiH Presidency in the next elections addressed the attendees.
DF representative in the Federal Parliament and president of the DF Cantonal Board HNK, Sanel Kajan, in his address, referred to the illegal construction of the so-called Croatian National Theatre in Mostar, emphasizing that it lacks valid documentation or construction permits, and that culture cannot be a means of ethnic domination.
Kajan expressed full support for Slaven Kovačević for member of the BiH Presidency, stating that Kovačević's candidacy is a move to preserve the state and confirmation that sovereignty belongs to the citizens, not ethnic feudal lords.
Arman Zalihić, representative in the Assembly of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, in addition to the importance of Slaven Kovačević's election as member of the BiH Presidency, emphasized the importance of having a civic option in Mostar, as only it can stop negative trends.
He cited bad examples of appointments of HDZ cadres to the Constitutional Court and the Steering Board of FTV by the Trojka, and highlighted the disastrous appointment of the management of Autoceste by the FBiH Government.
He pointed out that connecting Mostar with Sarajevo can only be dreamed of, while at the same time, highways are being built from local roads in West Herzegovina with 100 million KM from the budget.
Member of the DF Presidency, Miro Lazović, stated that it is more or less irrelevant who will be the member of the BiH Presidency from the Bosniak people, and that the crucial choice for BiH is between Slaven Kovačević and the HDZ candidate, and that it must not be allowed for the HDZ, together with the candidate from RS, to take over the BiH Presidency.
Slaven Kovačević, the DF candidate for member of the BiH Presidency, stated that BiH faces discussions about its future, especially with representatives of the international community, noting that in these discussions, it is better for BiH to be represented by people from the DF than by HDZ cadres who want to divide BiH.
He criticized Denis Bećirović's decision to support Borjana Krišto from the HDZ for the chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH by outvoting Željko Komšić.
He assessed that the Trojka parties and the other 11 parties, by supporting Bećirović, want to maintain the status quo and the dominance of HDZ and SNSD. However, he added that the avalanche of public dissatisfaction with the Trojka's policy will sweep these political options off the scene.
Kovačević condemned the illegal construction of the HNK and the HDZ's policy, which he stated continues the policy of a joint criminal enterprise, emphasizing that, as a member of the Army of BiH, unlike the current candidates who were not, he has different views on these policies.
At the end of the forum, DF President Željko Komšić also addressed the citizens, emphasizing the need for active political action towards Brussels, given that the illegal construction of the HNK is partly financed by the European Union itself, which, as he pointed out, is completely illegal.
Komšić, among other things, emphasized that the Democratic Front will not easily allow the formation of political alliances to the detriment of BiH and that the DF is a party not associated with corruption scandals marked by crime and nepotism.
He added that as a result, the strengthening of the DF is evident, especially in Herzegovina. Komšić stated that the policy of a civic state is a policy of equal rights on which the DF will insist and expressed support for Slaven Kovačević as the DF candidate for member of the BiH Presidency.
