(Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton conducted an operational action "Blažuj III" during the night, during which, under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office and with an order from the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, they searched the Temporary Reception Center "Blažuj", Ilidža municipality.
The action was carried out with the aim of finding illegal weapons, narcotics and other items that could be used to endanger the safety of the center's users and employees or originate from the commission of a criminal offense.
A total of 496 people were searched.
A man identified as A.J., born in 1998 in Algeria, was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of Possession and Facilitation of Narcotic Drug Use (Article 239, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
A PVC bag containing a substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug marijuana was found with him.
The suspect was handed over to the detention facilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.
During the search of the facility, a handbag was found containing 38 packages with a substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug marijuana.
Furthermore, items (wooden clubs, etc.) that could endanger the safety of the center's users and employees and be used to inflict bodily harm were found and confiscated.
