Budget of KS for 2022 amounts to over 1.2 billion KM, numerous questions from deputies

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The draft budget of KS for 2022 is also before the KS Assembly today. The Minister of Finance of KS, Davor Čičić, pointed out in his introductory remarks that a public debate on the Draft Budget has been held.

After corrections, the KS Government determined the Draft Budget on January 13 in the amount of 1,220,787,840 KM, which is more than 100 million higher than in the Draft.  

"The largest increase relates to indirect tax revenues belonging to KS, amounting to 579,234,960 KM. Corporate income tax revenues amount to 126,357,583 KM, income tax revenues amount to 209,256,497 KM," said Čičić.  

He explained the KS budget by departments.

22,136,371 KM are planned for loan repayment, and more than 16 million KM are planned for bonds alone.  

Regarding the Ministry of Health, capital investments include the reconstruction and renovation of the Institute of Emergency Medical Services and the reconstruction of operating rooms at the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš".   

Deputies had numerous questions for the ministers to explain the allocations.

Igor Stojanović (SDP BiH) asked the Minister of Economy of KS, Adnan Delić, if 10 million KM is sufficient for the company ZOI '84 and what that entails. He also asked if the allocated 12 million KM would be sufficient to resolve the housing issues of demobilized soldiers.   

SBB deputy Zvonko Marić asked what mechanisms are in place to protect against the abuse of the law that allows mothers in KS to receive an allowance of 1000 KM, and how they will control the registration of mothers in KS from other parts of FBiH. Jasna Duraković (SDP BiH) asked the same question.

"Mothers from other cantons will register in KS, and what are the mechanisms to protect against that," she said.  

She was interested in how much funds would be allocated for the HPV program and prevention of this disease.  

Bilsena Šahman, an independent deputy, asked why no funds were allocated for air protection, waste management, and environmental protection.  

Smiljana Viteškić (SDA) asked the Minister of MUP KS, Admir Katica, if and where the construction of the headquarters of MUP KS and the Police Administration is planned.
