Bosniak NGOs: We can only rely on God and our own strength

The Coordination of Bosniak NGOs "Akos" calls on all honorable and sincere people, all Bosniaks, to work together to strengthen our only homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, so that we do not find ourselves in a situation where we experience genocide again, it was announced on the occasion of the commemoration of July 11, reports the BH news agency Patria (NAP).

- Although it originated from genocide and war crimes against the non-Serb population, the smaller Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity, Republika Srpska, continues to exist as a political and national entity in which official policy and local representatives encourage racism, apartheid, and intolerance, as well as the dehumanization of victims. We cannot undo what happened to influence a different outcome, but in the present, we must strengthen awareness of the genocide against Bosniaks and work to ensure that it truly never happens to anyone again. Therefore, let us learn from the white tombstones of Srebrenica - state the coordination of Bosniak NGOs.

According to them, every July, Bosniaks actively remember the genocide against the Bosniaks of Podrinje, which, according to the verdicts of the Hague Tribunal, was committed by the Army and police of Republika Srpska with the support of Chetnik paramilitary formations from Serbia, when over 8,000 people were killed and tens of thousands were expelled in a few days.

- The genocide against Bosniaks occurred under the auspices of the International Community in the so-called "safe zones" of the United Nations, which served the Chetnik hordes to more easily carry out the massacre of Bosniaks. The European platitude "that genocide never happens again to anyone" has failed in the Srebrenica wilderness and the halls of the Battery Factory in Potočari. We call on all relevant domestic and foreign institutions to ensure remembrance of the genocide against Bosniaks and to sanction genocide deniers and their ideologues - it was stated.

They tell the Bosniaks that they can only rely on God's help and their own factors, and certainly not on the "hypocritical international community and its actors who betrayed us when we needed them most," reports NAP.
