Bećirović in Berlin at the Conference on the Recovery and Reconstruction of Ukraine

(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović is participating in an international conference in Berlin on June 11 and 12, at the invitation of the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz. Numerous high-ranking statesmen are participating in the conference.

The conference in Berlin is a continuation of the annual series of high-level political events dedicated to the rapid recovery and long-term reconstruction of Ukraine. It is also the first conference on Ukraine to be held in an EU member state.

The first day of the conference in Berlin began with an opening address by the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, followed by addresses from the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

The first plenary session is held under the motto: "United in Defense. United in Recovery".

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Bećirović, participated in a working meeting of heads of state and government, where he spoke about Bosnia and Herzegovina's experiences in recovering the country after wartime destruction.

During the conference, discussions will focus on the progress of Ukrainian reforms in the context of its economic resilience and accession process to the European Union, as well as finding new models for the economic self-sustainability and resilience of the Ukrainian economy through the mobilization of human potential and the private sector for the purpose of Ukraine's recovery.
