Bajram in Brazil: Sitting Volleyball Team Plays Iran

The sitting volleyball national team, led by coach Mirza Hrustemović, plays its second match at the Paralympics tonight against Iran, after defeating Ukraine on September 10th, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Given that today is also the first day of Kurban Bayram, they performed the Bayram prayer this morning in the mosque and continued with appropriate socializing. As Adnan Kešmer told Patria, they hope for a victory, although Iran is a tough opponent with whom we have most often competed for a medal.

This is the fifth time the BiH national team is participating in the Paralympics (Sydney 2000 silver medal, Athens 2004 gold medal, Beijing 2008 silver medal, London 2012 gold medal).

In addition to BiH, seven other teams are participating: Ukraine (instead of Russia), Iran, China, with whom we are in the group, and Brazil, Germany, USA, and Egypt.
