US Ambassador spoke with Mothers of Srebrenica

(Patria) - US Ambassador to BiH Michael Murphy spoke today with representatives of the Association Movement Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa enclaves.

"I had the privilege once again to meet with the Mothers of Srebrenica and Podrinje to discuss their important work to preserve the memories of the Srebrenica genocide victims and combat genocide denial.

We stand with the Mothers and strongly support their efforts to help locate the remains of the Srebrenica genocide victims, as well as to help survivors.

Acknowledging the past, honoring the victims, and bringing perpetrators to justice is key to reconciliation and lasting peace in BiH," said Ambassador Murphy.

Among others, Munira Subašić, Kada Hotić, and Nura Begović, as well as the president of the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, Murat Tahirović, attended the meeting with the US Ambassador.
