US Embassy: Only through hard work and reforms can BiH open up new opportunities

The US Embassy's stance on the referendum held regarding the Law on Holidays of RS is clear and consistent, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- Acting contrary to the decision of the Constitutional Court is an obvious violation of the rule of law, and we expect the competent institutions to resolve this issue in accordance with the laws of BiH, while we consider appropriate consequences.

We believe that the people in this country primarily want to improve their quality of life and create better opportunities for their children and future generations. This goal cannot be achieved through symbolic referendums, political posturing, and nationalist rhetoric, but only through hard work on key social, political, and economic reforms that will open up new opportunities for BiH. The United States remains committed to helping BiH progress and act in the interest of its citizens.
