US Embassy: We honor all civilian victims of Prijedor who were tortured, imprisoned, and killed by members of the VRS

(Patria) - The US Embassy honored all murdered civilian victims of Prijedor on the Day of White Ribbons. In a post on network X, they state:

"Today, on the Day of White Ribbons, we remember and pay respects to all civilian victims from Prijedor and the surrounding area who were tortured, imprisoned, and killed by members of the Army of Republika Srpska during the 1992-1995 war.

We call on authorities at all levels to foster reconciliation by promoting acceptance of judicially established facts about the 1992-1995 war, honoring all civilian victims, assisting survivors, enabling long-overdue commemoration, and seeking justice", they state in the post.

In Prijedor, a memorial gathering will be held today, organized by the initiative "Because it concerns me", and participants will lay 102 flowers for the 102 murdered children in Prijedor.

City authorities have refused to grant permission for the construction of a memorial for the 102 murdered children for years.
