Amer Obradović's amendments incorporated into the new Bar Association Act in FBiH

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Draft Law on the Bar Association at today's 19th regular session. The proposal for this law has already been on the agenda twice, but it was returned and not discussed or voted on.

The representative of the Independent Bloc, Amer Obradović, submitted amendments to this draft law in February and July 2020, but they were only discussed and decided upon today. The good news is that Obradović's amendments were adopted and incorporated into the draft, specifically concerning the methods of setting bar association fees, the separation of fees for representation by duty, and the obligation to issue invoices after the client's order for the legal service has been fully executed.

“This in a compromising way protects the interests of lawyers, ensures their equality in market access, and at the same time protects social categories and citizens as users of services,” said Amer Obradović about the adopted amendments.

In a situation where the government is de facto blocked and when the adoption of every new law is a surprise, it is important to be part of constructive solutions, which the Independent Bloc will always demonstrate by example.
