SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The discussion on the FBiH Budget was opened by SDA delegate Aida Obuća, expressing regret that the parliamentary hall was not full.

"I want to congratulate Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and Finance Minister Jelka Milićević for offering the citizens of the Federation a budget that is 1.1 billion KM higher and for preserving financial stability. It is gratifying that revenues have increased on various grounds. I will praise the continuation of activities to support economic entities. I would also emphasize the support for the Railways of the Federation of BiH, for which I congratulate the budget creators," stated Obuća.

Miomirka Melank reacted with a kind of denial that this budget would destroy anything.

"Information has emerged that this budget will ruin Bosnia and Herzegovina. I don't see that this budget is different from previous ones. These amendments will not significantly change it either. I support the Prime Minister's stance that financing the Railways is a fundamental matter for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I hope that this mistake, as well as the mistake towards agriculture, will be corrected by the budget rebalancing," added Melank.

According to her, increases in planned funds for the Solidarity Fund are mentioned, where about five million is foreseen, which is far less than needed.

Nihad Uk from Our Party says they were asked not to propose amendments today so that deadlines would be met.

"The Prime Minister of the Federation, Fadil Novalić, has shifted all the pressure to the FBiH Parliament, thus politically forcing us all to support the budget being adopted today in an urgent procedure. We have increased salaries in the public sector today. Salaries in the real sector have also increased, which means that the budget will increase next year through consumption and taxes. I regret that the funds for water bombers were abolished in the House of Representatives, but why weren't they bought from the previous budget. Why don't we adopt a new Law on the Distribution of Public Revenue. The amendments I read yesterday from the House of Representatives are like reading sessions of a city or municipal council," stated Čengić.

According to him, many amendments are illegal.

"They have piled up some 50 amendments amounting to 110 million KM, and now we are supposed to adopt them," said Čengić.

Damir Džeba, president of the Club of Croats (HDZ BiH), proposed that the budget be supported in the identical text as adopted in the House of Representatives.

Muamer Zukić, president of the Bosniak Club (SDA), said that a politically aggressive discussion was seen at the session of the House of Representatives in an attempt to devalue the economic growth of the Federation of BiH.

"We had both the budget and the budget rebalancing in one day, because it happened through a large number of amendments. We have a localization of the budget. I once looked at a city budget, it says lighting from Hamina to Salkina kuća," stated Zukić.

He adds that he cannot believe that a million-dollar amount can be directed to only one cantonal MUP.

"In this regard, we have proposed an amendment for the police to be developed at the FBiH level," stated Zukić.
