Leaders of the left-wing political parties held a meeting earlier today in Sarajevo. Zeljko Komsic (Democratic Front), Predrag Kojovic (Nasa stranka/Our Party), Nermin Niksic (Socialdemocratic Party) and Reuf Bajrovic (Gradjanski savez/Alliance of Citizens) met to discuss the current political situation in BiH.

They adopted a position that a strong and clear alternative to the right-wing that has started leading the way to the division of BiH into 3 mini ethnic states, is of the greatest importance for the destiny of BiH and its citizens.

Leaders of SDP, GS, NS and DF have made a commitment to cooperate in all municipal and city councils after the elections, including the City Council of Sarajevo.

- We appeal to the citizens to vote. The right-wing creates this illusion of enjoying a big support but there are more of us who are against the divisions. We have made a commitment to work together after the elections, which will prevent the nationalists to come in power in the majority of municipalities, as they have said to be the case, the leaders of the left said in a joint statement.

- By this, we also create the conditions for a victory of the civic option and toppling of the nationalists from the power in 2018 elections. That's why it is of utmost importance for you to come to the elections and give your vote to one of these 4 political parties. Together, we are stronger than them, said the left leaders in the statement.
