RTS employees entered the building through the basement, morning show broadcast from Takovska

(Patria) - Radio-television of Serbia is broadcasting its morning show this morning from the studio at Takovska 10, although it was announced that the program would be broadcast from Košutnjak, N1 reporter reported. A group of employees managed to enter the RTS building, and as Aleksa, a student of the Faculty of Mathematics from Novi Sad, told N1, the employees entered through the basement rooms from a nearby passageway.

As the student from Novi Sad explained to N1, the students received a tip that there is another entrance to the RTS building, next to the Palilula Municipality building. Namely, when you enter through that entrance from the street, you enter a passageway from which you can enter the basement rooms of RTS.

Aleksa showed a photo of a basement window from which iron bars were cut, and covers and a ladder were placed, so that employees could descend into the basement and then reach their workplaces.

The N1 reporter, who is on Takovska Street, stated that a unit of Ministry of Interior members passed down Aberdareva Street towards Palilula Market, and that it is most likely a shift change of police officers. There are no police officers on Takovska Street itself, our reporter stated.

Students began blocking the RTS building on Monday evening, which is supposed to last 22 hours. During the Gendarmerie intervention in front of RTS last night, a plainclothes police officer was injured, and the authorities claim that the students injured him, although footage shows otherwise.
