Zagreb Airport closed to all traffic after small plane skids off runway

(Patria) - A small plane skidded off the runway at Zagreb Airport, forcing all traffic to be halted.

"Today at 3:21 PM, during the landing of a private aircraft operated by Air Panonia, type Cessna 525, registration 9A-JJIM, the aircraft skidded onto the grassy area along the edge of the runway at Franjo Tuđman Airport, reports Index.

According to information from the airline's representatives, the flight was empty and there were no injuries in the incident.

Preparations are underway to remove the aircraft from the runway, and Franjo Tuđman Airport, in accordance with the prescribed activity plan, is closed to all air traffic until further notice.

Franjo Tuđman Airport apologizes to passengers for the delays of incoming and outgoing flights caused by this event, and the public will be informed in a timely manner as soon as the airport is reopened for traffic".
