After the Serbian authorities, with great effort and the full assistance of prosecutors Milanko Kajganić and Mladen Vukojičić, and later judge Braco Stupar, managed to secure a new fabricated case in Dobrovoljačka Street, they did not stop. Namely, as Patria unofficially learns, a new arrest of Naser Orić, whom Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić mentions frequently, is being prepared!
Vučić, as well as Milorad Dodik, often use the name and surname of the wartime commander of Srebrenica, Naser Orić, as a synonym for Serbian suffering. All of this is clearly heard and listened to in the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and unlike the pleas of Bosniaks and the fact that they do not prosecute individuals on the A list of The Hague, prosecutors are resorting to new fabrications against members of the Army of RBiH.
In recent times, specifically since March 2024, defenders of Podrinje have been increasingly invited for informational interviews. According to our information, SIPA, under the order of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, has so far invited dozens of defenders from Srebrenica.
These informational interviews are actually conducted in such a way that those invited are not informed of the capacity in which they are being invited or under what circumstances. They are simply asked to speak about wartime events from the beginning of the war!
However, what is characteristic of all interviews is that they are asked questions about Naser Orić, even though he has, as is known, been acquitted of the charges for which he has been tried so far.
The mass invitations of defenders to SIPA intensified after the announcement of the adoption of the Resolution on Srebrenica in the UN, as well as the announcement of the all-Serbian assembly, so it is difficult to escape the impression that Serbia is once again trying, through its extended arm in the BiH Prosecutor's Office, to engage in new revisionism. The goal is to portray that all sides were equal in the aggression committed against BiH!
Incidentally, in 2008, Naser Orić was definitively acquitted of charges before the Hague Tribunal, which accused him of crimes against Serbs in Srebrenica committed between 1992 and 1993. The Chamber thus overturned the first-instance verdict, rendered in the summer of 2006, by which Orić was found guilty of failing to prevent crimes against Serbs, based on which he was sentenced to two years in prison.
Later, in 2018, he was acquitted along with Sabahudin Muhić before the Court of BiH, and the BiH Prosecutor's Office accused them of killing three prisoners of Serbian nationality in 1992 in the villages of Zalazje, Lolići, and Kunjerac.
We also remind that Orić was arrested in Switzerland on an Interpol warrant from Serbia, and that Serbia requested his extradition.
However, no acquittals, not even those from The Hague, are enough for Serbian politics to stop persecuting members of the Army of RBiH, especially today when we are on the verge of adopting the Resolution on Srebrenica in the United Nations.
