VIDEO INTERVIEW Hadžidedić for NAP: Kukić and ANUBiH claims are the realization of Dobrica Ćosić's strategy against the Bosnian nation!

Interview by: Rasim Belko

The latest work by Slavo Kukić, “Narod i nacija” (People and Nation), has caused a lot of controversy in recent days, especially due to the fact that Kukić targets certain individuals in his work as carriers of Bosniak unitarism on the foundations of pan-Islamism.

Prof. Dr. Zlatko Hadžidedić, who, along with professors Senadin Lavić and Edin Šarčević, is targeted in Kukić's work, speaks about this, but also about the ultimate intentions of Kukić's publication and the role of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina in promoting the work, in an interview for Patria.

Video and editing: Anel Bešić

“The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina has very openly supported the views in this book. Some of them have subsequently tried to justify themselves, the Academy is not the publisher of this book. However, the fact that the reviewers were academics, that they promoted it publicly, testifies that the Academy stands behind the views of the book,” Hadžidedić tells Patria.

Hadžidedić adds that Kukić's claims represent the realization of the views, or rather the strategy, of Dobrica Ćosić.

“Ćosić said that the formation of the Bosnian nation must be prevented at all costs, because if that nation were formed, then Serbia realistically has no business in the territory of Bosnia. This is very clear to Ćosić, and it is regrettable that in our public discourse it is not clear why it is crucial for the survival of the state,” Hadžidedić stated.

Prof. Dr. Hadžidedić is resolute that “no multinational Bosnia and Herzegovina can survive. For Bosnia and Herzegovina to survive, it must be a nation-state, like all others. Like Serbia and Croatia, and indeed Switzerland and Belgium. They convince us that Switzerland and Belgium are multinational states, but no, they are nation-states. You have Swiss and Belgians, none of them are French/Dutch, or German/Italian/French, they are all Belgians and Swiss”.

“This is primarily a question of sovereignty. If you say you have three nations, it means you have three groups that advocate the idea that they are sovereign and have the right to create their own state. According to these interpretations, we have some kind of three nations that have the right to create three states, and then BiH does not exist. If we want BiH to survive, we must return that sovereignty to Bosnia and Herzegovina and to all its citizens who form that nation,” our interviewee points out.

He notes that these issues are not sociological, but issues of political activity.

We also spoke with Professor Hadžidedić about the current trend of “labeling” Bosnia and Herzegovina as a terrorist haven. Furthermore, Hadžidedić explains why the Lisbon Treaty is still a problem today, why Bosnia and Herzegovina should not even consider joining the EU and NATO until it regains its original sovereignty.

Additionally, Hadžidedić notes that issues concerning foreign judges and the election law should not even be discussed as prerequisites for the path to the EU.

Finally, we asked Professor Hadžidedić about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s unconditional alignment with America and its policies, and he answers, among other things: “Bosnia and Herzegovina must define its own interests, not say we will align with these, whatever they bring us”.
