(Patria) - The long-awaited rain finally fell in the Dalmatia region, bringing much-needed freshness but also traffic problems.
Due to the large amount of precipitation in a short period of time, some roads were flooded, making driving difficult and causing delays.
After a series of heatwaves and temperatures exceeding 30 degrees, Monday brought sudden autumn conditions. Heavy rain hit Makarska, with the hardest-hit areas being Vukovarska Street and Kralja Tomislava Street, where drivers had to navigate through flooded roads. According to available data, as much as 40 litres of rain fell per square metre, leading to short-term traffic difficulties.
Meteorologists predict that weather conditions will stabilise in the coming days, but drivers are advised to be cautious due to possible residual water on the roads.
