Radmila Bojanić, who is under US sanctions, is desired for the BHRT Supervisory Board; how is she connected to the digitalization of Public Broadcasting Services?

(Patria) - The Council of the Communications Regulatory Agency held a session in Mostar on April 24, where the Report of the ad hoc Commission for the procedure of determining the proposed ranking list of candidates for members of the Supervisory Board of the Public Broadcasting Service of BiH (BHRT) was adopted, and a decision was made to send the ranking list of candidates for members of the BHRT Supervisory Board to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

This list was kept hidden in parliamentary services for days, but the Patria News Agency managed to obtain the entire document.

The list includes two Bosniaks, three Croats, six Serbs, and one from the Others category. The BHRT Supervisory Board has four members, one from each constituent nation and one from the Others category.

List of candidates sent to the PS BiH

The two Bosniaks on the list are Dževdet Tuzlić, a retired BHRT employee still engaged by the public service, and Ahmed Jalovičić, a law graduate. The candidates from the Croat category are ranked as follows: Jozo Pavković, Denis Naprta, and in third place, Mario Vrankić, who is retired and was a long-time director of BHT. He resigned due to severe financial difficulties, then returned to the director's position after some time, where he remained until retirement.

Regarding the candidates from the Serb category, there are six candidates on the list, and the top-ranked is Radmila Bojanić, who is under sanctions from the United States of America. She was sanctioned in January of this year as one of the managers of companies connected to the Dodik family. She was one of the founders of the company Sirius 2010, and later Nimbus, which were also sanctioned. Sirius in mid-2024, and then Nimbus as the legal successor of Sirius.

Sirius, and then Nimbus, was part of the Consortium to which the digitalization project of public services worth 25 million KM was awarded. After the sanctions, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of BiH awarded the entire job to the Zagreb-based company Odašiljači i veze, which was also problematized in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. The Minister of Transport and Communications, Edin Forto, signed an annex to the contract with Nimbus in September 2024, and Bojanić was the signatory regarding the withdrawal from the Consortium. Incidentally, this tender is under scrutiny by investigative bodies, specifically whether the entire job could have been awarded to only one legal entity, OIV, even though it involved a Consortium.

Also on the list for the BHRT Supervisory Board are: Kosta Petrušić, Miloš Šolaja, Vedran Škoro, Saša Krsman, Aleksandra Stojanović. From the Others category, there is one candidate on the list, Ljubomir Zuber.

The members of the RAK Council are: Iza Razija Mešević, Tomislav Volarić, Tanja Andrić, Vjekoslav Čerkez, Damir Šehanović, Alma Čolo, and Zoran Žuža.

The next session of the House of Representatives of the PS BiH is scheduled for May 15, but according to the published agenda, this appointment is not included, unless the agenda is supplemented. Otherwise, the new composition of the BHRT Supervisory Board is voted on in both houses of the PS BiH.
