Remains of one victim of the past war exhumed in Novi Travnik

(Patria) - Incomplete remains of one victim of the past war were exhumed today from a pit in the village of Pećina, municipality of Novi Travnik.

According to information available to the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is presumed that these remains belong to a victim of Croatian nationality, who was killed in this area during 1993.

The identity of the victim will be known after the DNA analysis, which will follow the forensic and forensic medical processing of the remains, which have been transferred to the morgue of the Prahulje city cemetery in Travnik.

The exhumation, coordinated today by the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was also attended by an investigator from the Institute for Missing Persons, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, the Federal Civil Protection Administration, the International Commission on Missing Persons, a forensic expert, as well as workers from public utility services and local police who secured the exhumation site.
