Citizens did not heed the police call, therefore tensions are high on the streets of Belgrade, and the police are preparing for action.

At Slavija Square today, a large student protest called "See you on Vidovdan" was held, attended by tens of thousands of citizens.
The police, moving from the streets of Kralja Milana and Kneza Miloša, decided to push back the crowd, firing tear gas and pepper spray.

The gathered students and citizens protested against the current government, demanding the calling of early parliamentary elections and the removal of the camp from Pionirski Park.

Part of the gathered citizens, after the rally at Slavija, headed towards Bulevar kralja Aleksandra, where students had set up a blockade earlier during the day. A strong police cordon awaited them at the approach to the National Assembly building.
The situation culminated near the Turkish embassy, where clashes broke out between demonstrators and police. In that skirmish, several cannon shots and flares were thrown, and some among the crowd wore masks on their faces and threw flares at police lines.
The riots followed the official end of the protest.
On the other hand, the majority of citizens reacted peacefully to the presence of the cordon, raising their hands in the air as police approached, clearly showing non-violent resistance.

When the ultimatum that students had earlier given to the authorities — to call early elections and remove the camp from Pionirski Park — expired, the students took off their vests and said:
"This is no longer our protest."
On Bulevar kralja Aleksandra, near Pionirski Park, right next to the cordon now made up of student stewards and veterans, a large number of citizens who arrived from Slavija gathered.
The situation on the ground remains tense, and the gathered citizens for now remain on the streets of Belgrade.
Several people have already been arrested, and N1 reporters report that it is not known who the citizens who clashed with the police are now.
