Schmidt's 'Damned Yard' for Bosniaks: Legalizing Apartheid Through Legitimate Representation in the Election Law!

Long-term, the unresolved issue of the Election Law calls into question the democratic foundation of the country and indicates the need to adapt the existing system of ethnic power-sharing to the principles of democratic equality and non-discrimination.

This was written by High Representative Christian Schmidt in his latest report to the UN Security Council.

This time too, Schmidt has proven that he says one thing and does another, mostly to the detriment of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the pro-state forces within it. Because, what Schmidt says about the democratic foundation of the country being threatened due to the existing ethnic power-sharing does not mean he wants to eliminate it through reforms, but on the contrary, he wants to solidify it with partners from the HDZ as a permanent basis for power-sharing in BiH.

Schmidt proved this when he made decisions that helped one ethnic community gain control of the Federation of BiH. And no matter how much he masks his ultimate aspirations in his reports to the UN SC, his partner Dragan Čović confirmed today that Schmidt is working on a new attempt to reform the Election Law.

“Our colleagues have spoken with representatives of the OHR, I spoke with the US ambassador two or three days ago, intensive preparations are underway these days,” Čović said today in Vitez, announcing the start of negotiations at the end of the month.

Čović's partner Schmidt announced in an interview with Face TV the Dayton model of “detention for key leaders” until they reach an agreement.

“Either we will proceed in the future by LOCKING UP all those responsible, like in Rome when the Pope is elected and only letting them out when a decision is made. It was the same with Dayton, which would never have happened if they hadn't negotiated for three weeks straight without anyone being able to leave,” Schmidt told Face and remained alive.

Because, what kind of democracy would Schmidt achieve through agreements in a damned yard for politicians. We know what kind, it's hard for him to hide his intentions anymore.

Therefore, political leaders must be very careful when responding to OHR invitations, so as not to end up in some hole, trapped between Murphy the Krampus and Santa Claus Schmidt. This would be disastrous not only for Europe but for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina in general.

It is particularly dangerous for Čović's “colleagues” from the Sarajevo Troika, who, according to him, are already going to the OHR and preparing for marathons in the damned yard.

Čović's message today best illustrates that the situation is unfolding as HDZ Croatia/BiH desires: “For us, the priority in changing the Election Law is legitimate representation. The priority of all priorities.”

So, what Schmidt calls a lack of democratic capacity, Čović translates as legitimate representation, and nothing else is possible. Experience teaches us that Čović is much more open in explaining demands than the High Representative's polished phrases.

One of the goals of locking up political representatives is to completely prevent the public and citizens from reacting and attempting to prevent permanent damage to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Schmidt has learned his lesson, so in the fight for the democratic capacity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he wants to eliminate the democratic right of the public and citizens to participate in processes and decisions that will largely determine their future.

Obviously, this is why Schmidt is advocating for detention for political leaders today, not so much for the Troika members or Čović, but for those parties that rebelled against the imposition of apartheid last time.

It is obvious that something is being planned and prepared in the OHR kitchen, and there is no doubt that US Ambassador Michael Murphy is involved in all of this, with whom Čović obviously agreed on the details the other day.

The damned yard is clearly a dark trap for the Balijas who agree to enter the dark basements and agree to negotiations on long-established solutions.

It is evident that the reform of the Election Law will have a dramatic conclusion, the outcome will depend solely on whether the political representatives of Bosniaks will agree to apartheid or not.
