Vučić and Dodik discuss: Assembly of the Serbian people after the adoption of the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica

(Patria) - President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić spoke today with the President of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik about current issues in the region, Anadolu reports.

“President Vučić particularly informed Milorad Dodik about the activities of the Republic of Serbia and its delegation at the UN regarding the proposal by Germany and other great powers to adopt a Resolution on Srebrenica (Resolution on the committed genocide in Srebrenica, ed.). President Vučić emphasized that the situation for the Serbian people is very difficult and complex, and that it is quite clear that the major Western countries will try to pass the mentioned resolution, almost at any cost,” stated Vučić's Cabinet.

It is added that Vučić informed Dodik that the Republic of Serbia has made maximum efforts to protect, “not only the vital interests of the Serbian people, but also the truth and international law.”

Dodik informed Vučić about his visit to the Russian Federation and its results.

It is stated that Dodik requested from Vučić that the Assembly of the Serbian people, of Serbia and the RS, be held immediately after the “adoption of the Resolution on Srebrenica in the UN General Assembly” because, as stated in the announcement, “the Serbian people must provide a strong response to the most severe moral, legal and political disqualifications that have been prepared against them.”

It was emphasized that Vučić accepted Dodik's idea, and the date for holding the Assembly of the Serbian people will be determined immediately after the conclusion of the UN General Assembly and the vote on the resolution.

“About all economic projects and other forms of cooperation, Presidents Vučić and Dodik will talk on May 1 in Belgrade,” the statement adds.
