Spring smells, lilies sleep: Serbian forces on old paths of hegemonism, coming through Brussels instead of JNA areas!

“A particular problem for me was the hostile behavior of the international community towards Serbs and the JNA, which was simply incomprehensible,” General Milutin Kukanjac, former commander of the 2nd Army District of the JNA, would describe the events of May 1992 in Sarajevo, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The relocation of technical and material resources from parts of BiH with a majority Muslim and Croatian population was difficult, but it somehow worked and succeeded. There was a terrible hatred of Muslims towards Serbs,” Kukanjac would testify further in 1995 before the Higher Court in Belgrade.

Why is it important to highlight these statements today? Well, simply, so that we can understand today's current statements by Aleksandar Vučić, Milorad Dodik, Željka Cvijanović, Nenad Nešić, Nenad Stevandić…

Like parrots on the path to creating a 'Serbian world', they talk about the endangerment of Serbs, unjustified pressure from the West, presenting Serbs as victims. Thus, Vučić often emphasizes that the West wants Serbia, besides recognizing Kosovo, to turn its back on the Republika Srpska and renounce any economic and political support for the entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"They see the Republika Srpska as a disruptive factor in the Balkans, under Russian influence. That is why Serbia is being asked to actively work against the Republika Srpska, and we will only be good for the West when we renounce the Republika Srpska and criticize the political and other decisions of its leadership," Vučić said.

Vučić is arming himself to protect peace both in Serbia and the region! At least that's what he claims, and he still expects us to believe him, because history has taught us that no one attacks Serbia, but rather it attacked, so weapons for defense are not safe.

Everything we hear in public irresistibly smells like the spring of 1992.

This inverted thesis about the endangerment of Serbs and lies following the matrix of Dobrica Ćosić should be properly considered in the highest institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and taken seriously.

Especially after the assessment of the US Intelligence Community on threats in the world, published by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. There it clearly states that the "Western Balkans will likely face an increased risk of localized inter-ethnic violence during 2024."

The annual threat assessment for the Balkans and Bosnia and Herzegovina was clear and direct: 'Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik is taking provocative steps to neutralize international oversight in Bosnia and secure de facto secession for his Republika Srpska.

Of course, it was the Serbs who reacted strongly to these assessments.

"They managed to write so many lies in one sentence and pour out all their poison to create space for further interventions and blocking of both the Republika Srpska and the Federation. America has once again confirmed its firm determination to dismantle BiH's European path," Dodik wrote on social network X.

Just as Kukanjac said that everyone hates Serbs, then used that to shoot at the innocent population, loot the barracks – instead of withdrawing the JNA from the territory of BiH, which had become an internationally recognized country, meaning the JNA could no longer operate in that area, Dodik today blames the US for BiH's failure on the path to the EU.

Instead of fulfilling, together with the partners with whom he forms the government, the necessary conditions and heading towards Brussels, it is clear that he is looking for an alibi for failure, just as Kukanjac did! He will later admit the truth, so in 1994 Kukanjac will admit that there was a lot of manipulation, lying, and fabrication about how many died in Dobrovoljačka Street.

"It's time to tell the truth once and for all, and only I can do that. In that Dobrovoljačka Street, they attacked a medical vehicle. So, six people died out of 261. I guess those in Belgrade lost patience because we didn't suffer casualties, because we are not suffering. Those lies spread about Dobrovoljačka are the most shameful thing one can hear," Kukanjac would be honest.

The Hague Prosecutor's Office, investigating this event, determined that the JNA column withdrawing from the center of Sarajevo towards the barracks in Lukavica had all the elements of a legitimate military target. Not enough for the Serbian side to abandon the lies. So, through a fabricated indictment via Milanko Kajganić, they try to prove a lie, on the path to realizing the plan to show that all sides in BiH were equal!

Just as today Vučić and Dodik are trying to create a 'Serbian world' under the patronage of Vladimir Putin, justifying it with the story of the endangerment of Serbs. They also spice up the story with Islamic radicalism and terrorism, then silence and peace ensue, and even no one from the pro-Bosnian parties reacts to the warnings from the US.

They presumably care more about keeping their chairs and moving towards the EU, no matter how we get there. Plucked, decentralized, hindered in development, fighting against lies that started in 1992 and continue today. Those we elected remain silent about them, although they should not have the right to do so, and will one day have to answer why they are silent while the spring of '92 is here!
