
(Patria) - A fire that broke out early Sunday in the former premises of the Slovenian wood processing company Radomlje, near Ljubljana, caused significant material damage, the municipality of Domžale announced.
The fire was extinguished several hours after it broke out, but professional and volunteer firefighters remain on the scene as a precaution, STA agency reports.
The fire engulfed over 2,000 square meters of storage and production facilities in the industrial complex of the former company LIP Radomlje, and more than 150 members of various services and over 30 vehicles from the fire departments of Domžale municipality and surrounding areas participated in its extinguishing.
Local media reported that the flames also engulfed a part of the complex where used cars were parked. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, writes Anadolija.
