Polish hospital, industrial oxygen, Čović case, all forgotten except 'Respirators': Accomplices are also being sought!

Not so long ago, Milorad Dodik, president of the RS entity and leader of SNSD, admitted that the leader of NIP and Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković suggested to him that we "pretend" to enter into a conflict to strengthen "his own people".

“Pathetic, unachievable, I mean this 'his own people', Dodik said.

It was November, a still somewhat bearable situation, and now that there is a total blockade, the question arises whether the conflict is agreed upon or real. The stagnation on BiH's path to the EU, the failure to fulfill even the work on 14 key priorities, as well as the pathetic agendas of the sessions of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH indicate that the conflict truly exists. It was predictable even at times when the 'troika' so naively assured us that Milorad Dodik was ready for compromise and that he was some new 'European man'.
They were so convinced, on their way to their seats, that Dodik was a new man, that in January they promised resignations if we ended up in a blockade.

Nermin Nikšić personally promised an apology and resignation, but apart from blockades, we received neither an apology nor their resignation.

However, in the midst of the conflict and the fact that this new Dodik got what he could, including the Indirect Taxation Authority, which Vojin Mijatović claimed would certainly not end up in SNSD's hands, and due to the lack of work results, old topics are returning to the scene. Respirators, review of the verdict, corruption of the former government (the current one is not being dealt with, although it exists).

Precisely the topics on which the 'troika' based its narrative during the election campaign are re-emerging in public. Sebija Izetbegović is also inevitably present, the new director Pilav is opening KCUS, allowing visits, bringing doctors back to this institution, all sorts of things, but they are still keeping Sebija Izetbegović alive in all of this, because without her, the story makes no sense.

Considering the madness we are living in, one cannot help but wonder if there really is some media plan that ultimately means that HDZ and SNSD will definitively get out of their long-term bad governance, and that SDA will collect their sins as well.

Because, no one, absolutely no one, mentions the Čović case anymore, who 17 years ago was sentenced to five years in prison in the first-instance verdict by the Court of BiH for abusing his political position and damaging the state for a multi-million dollar amount!

Then, by some 'miracle', the original documentation was lost and only photocopies remained, and by some 'miracle' he was acquitted!

Well, now we come to the point. The BiH Prosecutor's Office has never launched an investigation into who helped Čović after the criminal offense was committed, and now, while we are awaiting the second-instance verdict of the Court of BiH in the Respirators case, prosecutor Džermin Pašić is doing just that!

He is opening a case and an investigation due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that a criminal offense has been committed – aiding an offender after the offense has been committed, and is requesting certain documentation from the Federal Civil Protection Administration related to the distribution of respirators to clinics!
It is important, obviously, that the Respirator topic is alive, and who they are targeting will be shown by time.



We remind you that on November 2nd, a hearing was held before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the "Respirators" case, at which the BiH Prosecutor's Office and the defense of the accused presented appeals against the first-instance verdict of the Court of BiH, by which Fadil Novalić, Fahrudin Solak, Fikret Hodžić, and the company FH Srebrena malina were partially found guilty and sentenced to a total of 15 years in prison, or a fine and the return of illegally acquired benefits, while Jelka Milićević was acquitted of charges.

The US government, through USAID and other agencies, has been providing essential support to BiH for years to help the judiciary effectively combat corruption and organized crime as key prerequisites for BiH's path to self-sustainability.

However, there is no progress, because in every story someone defends someone, and in the Prosecutor's Office itself, there is no determination and strength to seriously deal with issues of political crime. Especially in the BiH Prosecutor's Office, where Milanko Kajganić, close to SNSD, calls the shots.

That is why Respirators can be discussed again, and precisely at a time when Dodik is complaining that no one is problematizing the situation in the Federation, but only in the RS. However, the procurement of the Polish hospital in the RS, the use of industrial oxygen for people, cannot and will not be discussed!

It is obvious that only public pressure remains as the only light at the end of the tunnel that can contribute to the clarification of serious criminal acts in which citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been harmed by the powerful.

And if we accept that the BiH judiciary is an interest group that does not fight for greater independence, because their salaries are excellent and their responsibility is nil, we must know that EU integration can remain only a dream, because there, presumably, the rule of law is above any other norm.

And therefore, it is justified to believe that most indictments are political, and that will remain so as long as 'oversights' like the one in the Čović case are welcome, and the exploitation of Respirators is allowed to exhaustion, while the purchase of a villa in Dedinje is on hold, as are the Polish hospital and industrial oxygen.
