"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Bible, Isaiah 5:20).
Indeed, it is not difficult to find identical instructions in Islam and Orthodoxy regarding the quote from the Bible, in the context of today's Bosnia and Herzegovina and what is Orwellianly new-normal or new-extreme.
I haven't written, and I've only superficially followed the discussion that offers justifications for the dismissal of a man with whom I disagree on almost nothing socially or politically. And Dragan Mioković was dismissed, with whom I have publicly clashed a few times due to these different socio-political views, perspectives, and beliefs.
And that is democracy, that is human, and if you will, religious.
But it is neither human, nor religious, and certainly not anti-fascist to dismiss a man for expressing a stance that absolutely reflects the truth and views of all anti-fascists, all normal and moral people of this ex-Yugoslavian region.
And what I heard yesterday, what I witnessed, haunts me just as the thought of the possible return of fascism to its leadership haunts the European Union. Because, if Dragan Mioković was dismissed for the sake of political correctness towards fascists – and Ustaše and Chetniks undoubtedly are – do I then have the right to posit the thesis that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a state ruled by Ustaše and Chetniks with the help of a deflated anti-fascism!
As a contribution to this, I will repeat what Mioković was persecuted for – they killed too few of them considering the harm Ustaše and Chetniks inflicted on all citizens of the Yugoslavian region!
And now for the thesis!
The current government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, almost without calculation, was shaped by the high representative Christian Schmidt, who is inclined towards fascism, a bearer of the order of ideological role model of the Ustaše Ante Starčević!
And then we knew it wouldn't end well, but we didn't even suspect what it would ultimately turn into.
So, in that imposed government are the followers of Starčević, Pavelić, Luburić, and similar Ustaše ideologues and leaders in the form of the political party HDZ BiH with Dragan Čović at the helm. HDZ BiH is the key part of the government, the command cadre, as they would say. Next to them are the crypto-communist followers of anti-fascism organized by SDP BiH, led by Nermin Nikšić. All that remains of their anti-fascist struggle is marking the Igman March and visiting some other anti-fascist monument, which here, by all accounts, has been defeated.
The third factor in that government is, as Nedžad Latić so aptly put it, the servants of Zionist capital in the name of the organization People and Justice and with the leader Elmedin Konaković. This political phenomenon, referring to both the party and its leader, is actually the key pillar of the government of the Ustaše HDZ and Dragan Čović.
The smallest part, but certainly important, are these Mioković-like, poorly packaged liberals who, due to their lack of alignment, often find themselves in trouble when the truth slips out. And the truth slipped out for Mioković, and they let him go, just as they let go of all those before him, and even the founders and figureheads of that party. Yes, they defended him in principle, but the defense of anti-fascism must not and cannot be principled – it must be as it has always been and as it will always be! However, Our Party has shown all its faces, and therefore the disappearance of that political project or its electoral defeat will not be a surprise to me.
But, for the sake of a complete picture, we must not forget those who are formally in opposition but still eat a good slice from the state's trough, and they are SDA, DF, SBiH (a mix of everything, but fundamentally anti-fascist).
Looking at the session and Mioković's dismissal, we will easily come to the conclusion that he was dismissed by Ustaše supported by anti-fascists from the right side of the hall, while the principled anti-fascists from the left side remained subdued in their prayers to Tito to help Mioković, forgetting that fascism must be fought by all means, not with patience!
Mioković is the past, which is not a great loss for him or for us, but the fact that all Sarajevo anti-fascists are playing to the tune of Ustašism provides an answer to all questions about the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Because, as long as Sarajevo anti-fascists position themselves by running to defend Ustaše and Chetniks to the Sarajevo Croats and Serbs, defending the Ustaše and Chetnik right to democracy against the anti-fascist right to democracy, Bosnia and Herzegovina will sink faster towards its demise!
These are the same Sarajevo anti-fascists whose fathers and brothers are being arrested to equate them with the descendants of Ustaše and Chetniks who set out in 1992 to tear Bosnia and Herzegovina apart. What did these anti-fascists do to stop the Ustaše and Chetniks in their persecution of the lions and lionesses of the Bosnian resistance – NOTHING!
It was then illusory to expect Sarajevo anti-fascists to say NO to Ustaše and Chetniks, to finally show courage even if it cost them their comfortable political bread.
Because, Mioković was dismissed for a statement, while Čović, Krišto, Dodik, and others are leading this country, holding hands with war criminals who have the blood of thousands of victims of genocide and double UZP on their hands and conscience!
When asked WHEN you will dismiss them as you dismissed Mioković, the Sarajevo anti-fascists will remain silent, because in Sarajevo, only the Eternal Flame remains of anti-fascism, and with such a Sarajevo and anti-fascism, only a skeleton and nothing more will remain of Bosnia and Herzegovina soon!
Because, f*** anti-fascism that bows before fascism!
