Novalić's Government prepared everything, Nikšić's only needs to pose and cut ribbons

(Patria) - SDP BiH President and FBiH Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, a few days ago on a television show, in his recognizable self-satisfied manner, stated that the SDA "should remain in opposition and in the coming period".

- Such a statement by Nikšić is an expression of political despair, and I understand him, of course. Because, if there is a party that has shown all the futility and crime of the Trojka in opposition, then it is the SDA - says MP in the FBiH Parliament Jasmina Bišćević Tokić (SDA) in an interview with the Patria News Agency (NAP).

Bišćević Tokić points out that the SDA won the trust of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2022 elections and convincingly defeated the Trojka.

- Your partners were those who suspended the Constitution for one day so that you could be prime minister, and our partners are the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Precisely because of this, I personally am honored to be in opposition under these circumstances - our interlocutor told Nikšić.

She notes that the federal prime minister seems to have forgotten what happened on October 7, 2014, when he led the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- He forgot the mass protests due to citizens' dissatisfaction during his term, during which the Presidency building of BiH was set on fire. Today, the continuity of his leadership from 2014 continues - said Bišćević Tokić.

She also states that data from the FBiH Tax Administration indicated the largest drop in employment in the FBiH, recorded during the 2020 pandemic and in the first eight months of 2025, when Nikšić was again at the head of the FBiH Government.

- It was also shown that the FBiH budget deficit in 2024 increased by 131 million KM, and the Audit Office gave a qualified opinion.

While you are explaining to the citizens today why there is no gunpowder for the Igman factory, let us recall: during Fadil Novalić's FBiH Government, this could not have happened because serious work was being done on the development of the defense industry.

A howitzer was developed in Travnik, an RPG in Hadžići, in partnership with domestic and foreign experts. We invested in the modernization of the defense industry, increased export capacities, and opened new markets.

You, Mr. Nikšić, are closing factories today and sending workers on forced leave. When you talk about infrastructure, it would be good if you asked yourself at least once: what have you built?

The bridges you "opened" during your terms were designed and built by our Government. Roads, tunnels, corridors - these were all our strategic projects.

The telecommunications network, digitalization, road development - all of this was left as a legacy by the SDA. You only cut ribbons and posed for photos in front of projects you neither planned nor realized - emphasizes Bišćević Tokić.

Then she asked Nikšić - what did his FBiH Government bring?

- For the first time, borrowings on the London Stock Exchange, for the first time, amendments to the Law on Debt and Borrowing, for the first time, amendments to the Law on Budgets were proposed, which allowed the FBiH Government to make temporary financing decisions itself without the approval of the FBiH Parliament.

You have taken away all responsibilities related to the spending of the citizens' budget of the FBiH from the Parliament of the FBiH, leaving them as the exclusive responsibility of the Government you head.

Don't you advocate for transparency in budget spending? And that is why it is clear that there have been no reports on the spending of these funds for two years, and that we have a budget deficit of 133 million.

You are changing the statutes of public companies so that your people at their head can compete, even though they do not meet the conditions for these positions by a long shot - notes Bišćević Tokić.

She also asked him how many Bosniaks are in director positions at the Development Bank, and how many at Autoceste FBiH?

- The SDA has proven that it can be both a strong opposition and a responsible government. As the opposition, we have exposed your affairs and shown the citizens what government without a vision and without responsibility means.

It is better to be in opposition than to apologize to coalition partners for voting for the Southern Interconnection, which is in the interest of the citizens of the FBiH.

Prime Minister Nikšić, if you thought you could silence us with ironic remarks, you were mistaken. Your government is the best proof that the SDA must not remain only in opposition, because while you are stagnating and distributing positions to the compliant, Bosnia and Herzegovina has no time for experiments. Therefore, let the citizens judge.

I invite you to come to the FBiH Parliament before the opposition that the citizens elected, and did not impose - unlike you. In the three years of your mandate, you have been there only a few times. We are waiting for you - said Bišćević Tokić to the FBiH Prime Minister in an interview with NAP.
