(Patria) - Naftna industrija Srbije has sent a new request to the US Department of the Treasury for the postponement of full sanctions application.
The goal of this request is to enable the company uninterrupted operational work after June 27, i.e., after the expiry of the deadline stipulated by the previous license issued on April 25, NIS announced.
The announcement notes that NIS submitted a request to the US Department of the Treasury on March 14 to be removed from the SDN list, which is a complex process.
To date, the company has been issued special licenses by the Office of Foreign Assets Control within the US Department of the Treasury on three occasions, postponing the full application of sanctions.
- Despite the complex circumstances in which the company operates, NIS continues with the regular supply of all types of petroleum products to the domestic market and remains committed to preserving the social stability of its employees - the statement reads.
