Storm Floods Dalmatia and Some Islands

(Patria) - Thunderstorms with heavy rain hit parts of central and southern Dalmatia, as well as some islands, on Sunday evening.

Readers are sending footage of the dark sky taken just before the storm that hit the islands of Brač and Hvar, and there was also a storm on the island of Vis.

According to Dalmacija Danas, around 7 PM, thunderstorms hit Biševo and Vis, and the air temperature in Komiža dropped from 30 to 21 degrees Celsius. Readers of the portal also report that a strong wind blew a sailboat to the southwest coast of the island.

Earlier on Sunday, the Sinjska alka was also cancelled, its start and program were interrupted by severe weather, and it was decided that the 310th Alka will be held next Sunday, August 10th.
