Muhasilović: Proactively and through strategic action defend and build BiH, patriotic forces must strengthen

(Patria) - Our homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina is facing one of the most difficult moments since its independence, warned tonight in Sarajevo professor at the International University of Sarajevo and one of the founders of the NGO Guardians of Bosnia, Jahja Muhasilović.

Addressing the Convention organized under the slogan "Bosnia is ours - Bosnian" by Krug 99 and the NGO Guardians of Bosnia, Muhasilović appealed to a deep sense of responsibility and the need for unity and a national strategy, which are needed by our country more than ever.

- The sovereignty of our country over its entire territory is being brutally denied, and separatist forces within BiH and destructive policies from neighboring countries threaten our existence.

Never since the war have we seen such open and shameless activity by forces that want to break up our country.

We see how assemblies are being organized in Serbia that ignore the constitutional and legal order of BiH, while Serbia, through the BiH entity of the RS, positions its military logistics on our territory.

The RS behaves like a rogue entity, while messages from Croatia also deny the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The occupation of our institutions by neighboring destructive policies through the SNSD and HDZ BiH is being actively carried out - emphasizes Muhasilović.

He stresses that such policies would not be possible without the servile and treacherous policy carried out by the coalition known as the Troika.

- Their lack of national consciousness further encourages Dodik and Čović to carry out a silent occupation of our country through its institutions.

BiH is waking up to a new Serb-Croat reality, and some in the Troika are evidently not bothered by such a balance of power.

Those most damaged by such policies are primarily Bosniaks, but also Croats of Bosnia (not Herzegovina), as well as Serbs and Croats living in cantons with a Bosniak majority, and other patriots of BiH - adds Muhasilović.

Of course, he continues in his address, the occupation of BiH by the SNSD and HDZ would not be possible without the green light from the international community, which, under High Representative Christian Schmidt, decided to strengthen the forces of disintegration, weaken patriotic forces, and eliminate the electoral will of Bosniaks.

- The danger of the current situation lies in the fact that the processes through which BiH is being weakened are complex, imperceptible to many, and skillfully camouflaged under a veil of politics and the fight against corruption, Euro-Atlantic integration, nepotism, and similar excuses.

Now, more than ever, unity and vision are needed. I call on all political parties, the academic community, religious communities, the non-governmental sector, and the media to gather around a common goal - preserving and strengthening the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Our side, i.e., the Bosnian side, must show unity and determination. We must act proactively, not just reactively, and produce a clear exit strategy that will enable our country to overcome all current challenges.

Time is not on our side if we do not act proactively. We are the ones who should lead the processes, not be objects of others' policies. We need a clear strategy of action, vision, and unity in implementing these goals.

Our red lines should not be imposed by circumstances, but by ourselves. Only then can we emerge from the dystopia in which we find ourselves - notes Muhasilović.

First of all, he adds, it is necessary for all aspects of patriotic forces to unite in a way that all those with strength and will join together in an academic/political front that will define strategies not only for defensive action, to which we are now forced due to actions from Serbia, but also agendas that will define policies and their executors in order to move to offensive action.

This, Muhasilović explains, would involve a broader spectrum of cadres who would jointly provide both answers and strategies for policies on the ground on how to repel attacks and then go on the offensive.

- The second direction is awakening and giving space to the intellectual and every capacity of the new generation forces in the state, which would give new wind in the sails of the patriotic front.

The third direction is expanding the network of media with a patriotic prefix - connecting smaller and local media with larger ones, so that patriotic messages and narratives spread to the social masses and thus the popular masses join the intellectual/political front, i.e., changing the state of apathy and disinterest of the masses in the processes - emphasizes Muhasilović.

He also deemed it important to note, given that the public is constantly being disavowed, that in BiH there exist, not as many say "three warring sides," but two basic vector forces.

- The force of separatism and terrorism against BiH, which has its allies, and the patriotic force that defends its freedom, territorial integrity, and sovereignty. All other occurrences and phenomena are variations on a theme. These are the two main axes. And it is necessary to stop relativizing this truth.

Of course, there will be much resistance, from within and without. But if we remain focused on the goal and ready to sacrifice for that same goal, I am convinced we will succeed. There is no force that can stop the patriotic forces of Bosnia. We have proven this countless times in the past and we will again.

Therefore, let us get to work! Let us unite all the capacities we have, whether it be political parties, the academic community, religious communities, the non-governmental sector, or the media.

Let us show the world and ourselves that Bosnia and Herzegovina is unique and unwavering in its struggle for sovereignty and integrity.

Thank you, and may love for our homeland guide us. Long live an independent, united, sovereign, and strong Bosnia and Herzegovina - concluded Jahja Muhasilović in his speech at the Convention.
