Milanović met with Orbán

(Patria) - Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Croatian President Zoran Milanović agreed during talks in Budapest that maximum diplomatic efforts are needed to achieve peace in Europe, Milanović's office announced.

Milanović is on a two-day visit to Hungary at the invitation of Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok, whom he met earlier today, Index.hr reported.

After the meeting with Sulyok, Milanović expressed hope that the previously planned, then cancelled meeting between the US and Russian presidents would still be held in Budapest, emphasizing that diplomacy in which there is no dialogue is a "road of no return".

As announced, Milanović and Sulyok will participate in the central ceremony marking the Day of Croats in Hungary in Pécs.

The celebration also marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Croatian National Self-Government, as well as 35 years of activity of the Alliance of Croats in Hungary.
