(Patria) - The big derby of Croatian football is being played today at 4 PM at Poljud between Hajduk and Dinamo.
This is a match that can provide a clearer picture in the championship race, and tickets have long been sold out. However, the match itself had a very bad prelude on the streets of Split.
This morning around 9 AM, a clash between a larger number of fans occurred in Split's Pujanke neighborhood.
Apparently, it was an arranged clash between Hajduk and Dinamo fans, and a large number of police officers quickly arrived at the scene. Slobodna Dalmacija reports that a real stampede occurred, and they also state that several individuals were arrested.
They are currently being identified. A video of the clash has already appeared on social media.
Today's derby at Poljud has been declared high-risk, and there will certainly be additional security reinforcements on the streets of Split before, during, and after the match.
