Dodik's Quasi-Analyses of Sarajevo and Propaganda about Serbs

Secessionist Milorad Dodik became afraid that Sarajevo, which he described on Twitter as a "multiethnic capital", will soon supposedly become 100 percent Muslim.

Dodik presented, for him, startling data according to which "the number of Serbs born in Sarajevo is thirteen times smaller than those who die." And he has never once spoken about the ethnic composition in the Republika Srpska, the expulsion of Bosniaks, which continued even in the days of 'peace', and now 28 years after the war.

However, Dodik analyzes Sarajevo, pointing out that in 2022, 23 Serbs were born in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while 294 died.

"In a city that had at least 160,000 Serbs and several tens of thousands more who declared themselves as Yugoslavs, it is completely clear what the demographic situation will be in the coming years," says Dodik.

In doing so, the president of the smaller BiH entity forgets the most important reason why Serbs, just before the start of the aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina, left not only its capital but also all other cities that were later surrounded by long barrels and artillery by Bosnian Serbs, aided by Serbian military and paramilitary forces.

At the beginning of May 1992, I was not quite ten years old, but I still remember very well when the Serbs left Goražde overnight. My school friends were no longer there, apartments in the buildings stood empty. We were astonished and wondered in surprise why Goražde was turning into a city without people? We would find out a few days later, on May 4, when the frantic three-and-a-half-year siege of the city on the Drina officially began, a city that would be proclaimed a city of heroes less than four years later.

There are rare areas where Bosnia and Herzegovina is as flat as a pan, as is the case, for example, with Semberija, so the aggressors in Goražde, nor in Sarajevo, had any major problems installing tanks on the hills and aiming their barrels at the very center of the city. At those same neighbors with whom they had been drinking coffee and eating hurmašice just yesterday.

The opportunity to see on the spot how the "work was progressing" from the heights around Goražde was not missed by war criminal, otherwise Dodik's role model, Ratko Mladić, who in 1994 commanded one of the operations in the Goražde area with the aim of destroying everything that was not Serbian.

In the Sarajevo wilderness, with a rifle slung over his shoulder during the aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the company of war criminal Vojislav Šešelj, the current President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, also roamed, known for his fascist statement: "Kill one Serb, we will kill a hundred Muslims."

Dodik knows very well that Sarajevo did not lose its Serbs on the eve of the aggression because they left voluntarily. They left, partly due to the direct order of war criminals Radovan Karadžić and Momčilo Krajišnik, and partly because they succumbed to propaganda that they would be slaughtered if they stayed. And many stayed and still live and work freely there today.

But Dodik does not mention those Serbs who, without any fear of their neighbors, remained in Sarajevo throughout the entire war, and some of them even took up rifles and, in the uniforms of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed to the front line. Let Dodik ask them from whom death actually threatened them - from their Muslim neighbors or their Serb "brothers" who, from the heights, stalked everything that moved through Sarajevo's streets through the sights of their snipers, PAMs, PATs, tanks…

Sarajevo was, is, and forever remains a multicultural, multiethnic city, and for good reason the West calls it the European Jerusalem. And there will always be room in it for all well-intentioned people who love and live for their homeland, regardless of what they are called and to which God they pray. And Dodik and all other haters of everything that is Bosnian-Herzegovinian should be banned from ever even approaching it again.
