Bandić: Yielding to blackmail is not a path to Europe, but to the ruin of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bismarck said long ago that politics is the art of the possible, which in itself means that the political moves of actors always depend on the circumstances in which they take place. All of us who are involved in politics have incorporated a wish list and political goals into our work. Honestly, I believe that we all want a better future for our people through the construction of a functional and legal state, and the entry of our country into the European Union. At least that is the case for most political actors from Sarajevo.

After the debacle of the agreement from Laktaši, where the leaders of the Trojka parties showed complete strategic and political incompetence for dealing with serious state issues, it is now clear that they still do not understand who they are dealing with, or that they do not understand the circumstances in which they want to achieve their political goals, especially those they spoke about during their post-election campaign.

So where are their “civilized” and “reformed” Dodik and the “champion of European integration” Čović today? Today, their coalition partners are blackmailing them and deliberately blocking the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Although the opening of negotiations itself does not mean much, it is a symbolically important step in bringing our country closer to the EU.

After the addresses by Dodik and Čović, it is clear that this will only happen if the leaders of the Trojka agree to the open and terrorist blackmail of their coalition partners.

Therefore, our country can only go towards the EU if the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is served on a platter to the civilized and reformed Europeans, Dodik and Čović. Giving the state into the hands of its proven haters, deniers of genocide, friends of war criminals, and corrupt individuals who enrich themselves through politics, while at the same time expecting that state to be better, that we will live better in it, can only be done by people who are completely alienated from the reality in which we live.

And it is clear to every ignoramus by now that yielding to the blackmail of the Dodik-Čović duo is not a path to Europe and a better life, but a path to darkness and the ruin of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina!
The only certainty is that in such a country, Dodik and Čović will be multi-billionaires, and Forto, Nikšić, Konaković will continue to be some ministers. As for us – the remaining flowers, it is unlikely anyone will water us. And they will all be remembered as people who dried up even their own people.
