Bayram Message from the Reis-ul-Ulema: Let Us Preserve the Sanctity of Bayram, Spread Joy and Solidarity

(Patria) - The Reis-ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein-ef. Kavazović, today sent a message to Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the homeland countries and the diaspora on the occasion of the upcoming Ramadan Bayram.

We convey the Bayram message of the Reis-ul-Ulema in its entirety:

Dear brothers and sisters,

today we conclude the Ramadan fast and bid farewell to Ramadan, our dearest guest. We see it off with melancholy, but also with joy – because we welcomed it with an open heart, cordially and with beaming faces, and rejoiced in its gifts; and we spent it in fasting, prayer, and refraining from everything ugly and unworthy. Ramadan will bear witness that we did this out of conviction and with the hope that we will be rewarded for it by the Lord of the Worlds. I pray to Almighty Allah, glory be to Him, that He accepts all our acts of worship, our Ramadan efforts, and preserves them for us on the Day of Reckoning.

Tomorrow, brothers and sisters, is Bayram, the holiday of joy and happiness.

Let us spend it with cheerful faces and open hearts with our families, relatives, friends, and neighbors. May the joy of Bayram encompass everyone, and let us once again remember in our prayers our brothers and sisters in Gaza and everywhere in the world, who are suffering terrible violence and facing unimaginable pain and suffering.

And let us preserve the dignity and sanctity of Bayram. Let us not do anything that does not belong to it.
