(Patria) - On the Adriatic highway, near the village of Krvavica close to Makarska, a local bus veered off the road today around 3:45 PM, reports Dalmacija danas.
The bus plunged 60 meters off the roadway. Fortunately, at that moment, only the driver was on board.
Emergency medical personnel and officers from the Split-Dalmatia Police Department arrived at the scene immediately.
The driver was taken to the hospital. His medical condition is not yet known.
A major traffic jam formed on the road near the accident site, and firefighters are also on the scene.
Police officers are conducting an investigation at the scene.
