Anti-fascists: We will initiate the recall of Mario Kordić, who mourns the Independent State of Croatia

(Patria) - It is a disgrace that at the head of a city with such a tradition as Mostar has, there is someone for whom anti-fascism is the ideology of evil, believes the president of the Association of Anti-fascists and Veterans of the National Liberation War (UABNOR) Mostar, Sead Đulić.

In an interview with the Patria News Agency, Đulić commented on the Facebook status of Mostar Mayor Mario Kordić, who called the anti-fascists gathered at yesterday's commemoration of the 79th anniversary of the liberation of Mostar from fascism in World War II "false moralizers who falsify history".

Kordić: Called anti-fascists falsifiers of history

"We are building a Mostar focused on the future and let's stop glorifying criminal ideologies," Kordić wrote, thus equating criminal ideologies with anti-fascism.

- The mayor worded it "brilliantly", finally publicly admitting, writing, and confirming what he thinks. Kordić is the first official of the HDZ BiH to openly admit that anti-fascism is the ideology of evil. And if anti-fascism is the ideology of evil, then fascism is the ideology of good for him.

He has actually placed himself where he belongs and what he is, revealing himself completely. We who live here and follow such things - he said something similar last year, but more subtly - clearly know where he belongs and what this is about, says Đulić.

However, anti-fascists, he notes, will not remain silent in the face of Kordić's provocations. Starting tomorrow, they announce a serious action aimed at completely exposing the policy he represents.

- We will initiate, as much as we can through permissible legal means, his recall. It is a disgrace that a city with such a tradition as Mostar has, has at its head someone for whom anti-fascism is the ideology of evil.

Đulić: Kordić is not worthy of the mayoral position

He should be removed. We will probably not succeed in this, due to the circumstances, but these activities will begin. Tomorrow we have a meeting with a serious legal team, we are going to settle accounts through legal means with all those who protect evil, neo-fascism, neo-Nazism, the ideology that was defeated in 1945 by the world anti-fascist coalition, emphasizes Đulić.

According to him, anyone who does not understand that the occupier was expelled from Mostar on February 14, 1945, and a little later from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire former country, has clearly sided with and mourns the Independent State of Croatia, which was defeated in 1945.

- And if that is the case, then he is not worthy of the position of mayor for the citizens of this city, concludes Đulić in an interview with Patria.
