Abyss for Bosnia and Herzegovina: Patriots are rightly concerned!

By: Rasim Belko

It's becoming monotonous, but in that monotony lies the danger that will one day greet us around the corner and, as usual, shock us, leaving us shocked as victims to cry and wait for international charity to protect our homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

For the past four years, we have listened to the head of diplomacy Elmedin Konaković (NiP), member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović (SDP), Minister of Defense Zukan Helez (SDP), MP Sabina Ćudić (NS), FBiH Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić (SDP), and the accompanying institutional and party orchestra, who convinced us that we were almost there, and now, towards the end of their term, it has become clear to everyone that we are actually nowhere.

As a state and society, we have not moved from the point where the current and imposed political representatives from Sarajevo have brought us. Not only are we not close to opening negotiations with the EU or making any progress towards NATO, but we are, by all accounts, further away from the accession paths.

It used to be said in hallway jokes that the EU would collapse before Bosnia and Herzegovina became a member; today, everything indicates that Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the verge of collapse and that there is nothing to the story of membership.

We are threatened with the FATF grey list, our drivers are being arrested in the EU, we receive little better treatment at borders than Afghans and Syrians, and the listed figures from textbooks on how not to engage in politics and diplomacy are telling stories about how we are in every important place where decisions about us are made.

We were not asked about any decision concerning us; most of these decisions are extremely unfavorable to us, or the engagement of individuals outside the system has reduced that unfavorability.

We conduct diplomacy like Mulekelefeta from Donji Brabonjišta, filling all existing social networks with self-praise, while all forms of politics are left to a marital relationship where Nikšić's word is final and reads, "That's how it is, Dragan."

And Dragan Čović is exactly where he needs to be, always timely in blocking Bosnia and Herzegovina from within. On the other hand, he knows when and where to go, and whom to receive on the international political stage when gathering support for the fragmentation of BiH.

In Sarajevo, Željka Zovko is perceived as a lady from good jokes, but that Zovko works more effectively than the entire political-diplomatic establishment originating from Sarajevo. Recently, she enabled Čović and other HDZ cadres to talk with the head of AFET (European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs) David McAlister in Mostar.

McAlister's messages from Mostar are a replica of Čović's narrative: "I therefore call on all responsible politicians in Sarajevo to unblock the entire process and implement the necessary reforms... What I can see when I talk to members of the Croatian community is a clear pro-European commitment, but I expect other communities to take a step forward as well." In Sarajevo, they remained silent about this, aware that this is the only way they can react to their own inaction.

And where is Milorad Dodik, without whom there is no discussion. That political corpse, as Zukan calls him, or political dead man, as the Trojka collectively calls him, flies around the world as free as a bird and emboldened in his secessionist mission. His sanctions have been lifted, pressure on the RS entity has eased, so Dodik has shown the imposed Bosniaks in power how diplomacy is done. He flew to Bibi Netanyahu, Viktor Orbán, and now he is in America, specifically Washington with Željka Cvijanović, reaping the fruits of their labor. You won't encounter a more dangerous dead man in this country for a long time.

Heavy as a leaden shackle for every patriot of this country, but sad and true is the statement by Radovan Kovačević (SNSD) in which he says: "No matter how much they tried in Sarajevo to make it different, Milorad Dodik has clearly succeeded in positioning Republika Srpska as a subject of politics that decides, while the only result of Konaković and Sarajevo is that BiH is nothing more than an object of politics decided by others. And we will decide."

Because of all this, I am not surprised by the call I received last night, partly due to the messages about BiH coming from the USA. A seasoned fighter and commander anxiously asks what we will do and where we will go, because like anyone who thinks with their head, this commander sees an abyss opening beneath our feet, and we believe that the false guarantees of Bećirović, Konaković's textbook diplomacy, Helez's defense, and Nikšić's politics will save us. Ćudić is also there to help with debate skills.

In essence, it is difficult to predict only one thing - will the international community, primarily America, be willing to meddle in the very sensitive issue of Bosnia and Herzegovina by October?

If the answer is yes, then only God can help us, and in case of a different answer, then it is up to us, because we will have the opportunity and obligation to choose.

If we are naive, corruptible, and blind enough to choose those who released Dodik from the "sanctions" cage to tell his story to the world, and gave wings to Čović, then we should neither seek nor receive help. The abyss will be open for Bosnia and Herzegovina and all who love it!
