(Patria) - The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bosnia and Herzegovina has openly threatened members of the BiH Presidency, Chairman Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović, due to their visit to Ukraine and participation in the Crimean Platform summit.
In their statement, they did not name them by their full names, but rather referred to them as "certain members of the BiH Presidency".
"Regarding the participation of certain members of the BiH Presidency in the so-called 'Crimean Platform Summit,' we wish to remind that Crimea and the city of Sevastopol have been reunited with Russia in full compliance with international law, primarily – the right of peoples to self-determination, enshrined in Article 1 of the UN Charter and international agreements on civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. The decision of the people of Crimea is final and irrevocable; the status of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol as subjects of the Russian Federation is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation and is not subject to revision.
Therefore, we perceive participation in such gatherings as an openly hostile act. We consider any form of joining the aforementioned initiative as an attack on the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation. We reserve the right to respond to hostile actions.
After the theatrical participation in 'commemorative events' in Bucha, where the Kyiv authorities, with the support of the Anglo-Saxons, shamelessly staged fabricated massacres of civilians allegedly committed by the Russian army, we would warmly recommend the Bosnian-Herzegovinian 'advocates of justice' to visit the Alley of Angels in Donbas – a monument to hundreds of children who died at the hands of Ukrainian neo-Nazis.
We take into account the statement of the member of the BiH Presidency from the Serb people, Željka Cvijanović, that her colleagues' trip to Ukraine was purely private and not approved by the BiH Presidency. The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, has also expressed his views. In this context, the statement by one of the members of the BiH Presidency that 'Bosnia and Herzegovina is thereby expressing support for Ukraine' is not only a manifestation of megalomania but also a gross violation of the BiH Constitution, and consequently, the Dayton Peace Agreement.
And one more thing. The cabinet of the same member of the BiH Presidency recently made excuses regarding the nature of the use of budget funds during foreign visits. We assume that Bosnian-Herzegovinian taxpayers would be interested in how much money was spent on purchasing, among other things, tickets for the 'night train.' If budget savings are discovered, then we absolutely do not rule out that the trip, the events held, and the anti-Russian statements were paid for by foreign mentors and sponsors of certain members of the BiH Presidency," the statement from the Russian Federation Embassy reads.
Following such threats, a reaction is expected from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, headed by Elmedin Konaković. The Russian Embassy has violated the rules of diplomatic conduct and is openly threatening two members of the BiH Presidency.
