House of Representatives: No raise of excises, public RTV systems on their own!

Another session of House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is concluded. Delegates went rather quickly through the agenda following rejection of Denis Becirovic's initiative to include in the agenda Information of the Council of Ministers about illegal calling, organizing and holding an anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional referendum, which will undermine the Dayton Peace Accord.

Due to the lack of the entity majority from the RS, this proposal was rejected. That was the reason for SDP Club to leave the session.

In addition, due to the lack of the entity majority from the RS, the proposal of law on changes of the Law on Public RTV System BiH that entailed prolongation of the deadline for the contracts with telecom operators, by which the RTC tax would be paid, also wasn't adopted.

The proposal of the Committee for Finance and Budget that the set of laws aimed at raise of excises on oil be postponed again was adopted because they did not get an opinion from UIO BiH as yet. The session of UO UIO is scheduled for 2 September.

The Proposal of the law on changes and additions to the Law on excises, has specified the following excises for oil derivate: Diesel fuel and other gas oils 0.45 KM, kerosene 0.30 KM, lead-free petrol 0.50 KM, motor petrol 0.55 KM, light distillate oil 0.45 KM, biofuel and bio liquid 0.45 KM.
