Zelensky in Dubrovnik, welcomed by Plenković: Vučić requested changes to the text of the Declaration on Ukraine

(Patria) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Dubrovnik on Wednesday, where he is participating in the 3rd Summit of Ukraine - Southeast Europe, where countries of the region are expected to give support to Kyiv in the fight against Russian aggression.

The summit participants are expected to adopt a joint Dubrovnik Declaration, the text of which is still under negotiation, but it should follow the lines of earlier declarations from the summits in Athens and Tirana.

The main points of the declaration should include condemnation of Russian aggression, support for Ukraine's territorial integrity, including the Crimean peninsula, support for President Zelensky's peace plan, a call for the prosecution of war crimes in Ukraine, support for Kyiv's Euro-Atlantic integration and NATO membership when conditions are met, and support for energy security and the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war ends.

Zelensky also held a meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.

Media report that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić requested that "sanctions against Russia" and "mandatory military support for Ukraine" be removed from the declaration.
