Polling stations closed in Kosovo, who will form the government

(Patria) - Early parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on Sunday, after no political party managed to secure the necessary majority to form a government following the February vote.

According to exit polls, the Self-Determination Movement led by Albin Kurti is winning the elections. The Central Election Commission has started releasing results, and the Self-Determination Movement is leading.

After the polling stations closed, three television stations in Kosovo announced the results of exit polls, reports Radio Free Europe.

According to the Dukagjini television poll, Self-Determination should win 45.7 percent of the votes, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) 22 percent, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) 15.6 percent, while the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo gets 5.3 percent.

The Klan Kosova television poll shows that Self-Determination wins 44.1 percent, PDK 23.9 percent, LDK 16.1 percent, and the Alliance 5.8 percent.

According to the T7 television exit poll, Self-Determination is winning with 43.5 percent of the votes, PDK has 23.6 percent, LDK 15.9 percent, while the Alliance wins 7.2 percent.

Voting officially ended at 7 PM, but at polling stations where citizens were present until that time, voting was extended, in accordance with election rules.
